I've been using little PCs as DVRs for many years, needing to network boot them with grub2. Never had a problem with any of my previous PCs (a minisforum n40 was the last). I'm getting next to nowhere with the Cubi I just bought. It seem to be downloading grub2's core.efi, but doesn't seem to be able to successfully run it.

Anybody here had need to network boot one of these?

Yes, I have that enabled. And the tftp server logs show the request for core.efi. With an old version of grub2, I even saw a message "welcome to grub", but it gets no further core.efi should then fetch grub.cfg, but it doesn't get that far.

Yes, that did it thanks. The whole network boot procedure completes now. I see nothing on screen when the UI is supposed to appear, but that's not unexpected: there are parameters that I would expect to have to tweak when moving to different hardware.

I ran into one weirdness, as before with the previous BIOS: I needed to disable secure boot. At first the UI for controlling that was greyed out. I fiddled about a bit and then it appeared enabled. A bit odd, but seems fine now.
