Ok, I flashed my BIOS and now have MS-6702 BIOS, version: 1.20 and AMIBIOS Version 3.31a. Is this the correct most up to date BIOS?
Now, the only editing I have done to BIOS is:
1. Turned off auto detection of my IDE devices and identified them manually to speed up the boot process.
2. I set the system performance to Turbo. (Does it really make it any faster?)
3. Memclock Mode to Limit so I can choose the Memclock value of DDR400 with a CL2.0, 2CLK, 5CLK, 2CLK.
4. Set the DDR Voltage (V) to 2.75
5. I also changed Integrated Peripherals, onboard PCI controller, P20378 S.ATA controller and I set it to disabled. (This way I don?t see the No BIOS installed screen)
Now, before anything other than If this is the most up to date BIOS and If TURBO really makes a difference from FAST is their anything so far from what I have changed that may create latency to boot up and or anything you guys see wrong?
Real Question, after you update the bios it creates even more POST processes, it drives me crazy, especially the MAC ADDRESS DHCP section where by then I'm pulling my hair. The dhcp?.with spinning \ symbol goes on forever. What BIOS changes do you guys make to wipe these entire unneeded and unnecessary boot up POST services from the new bios?
Please help, and thank you!
