I'm normally pretty OK with electronics. I finally found the BIOS chip on my GE67HX-12UGS-013. I was so excited to finally find the freaking MX25l25673g chip, that instead of soldering pins to the solder pads of the WSON-8 chip (too wide for clip), I decided it would be best to "rework"/ remove the chip. Whether you know or not, leadfree solder requires excessive heat. The chip cracked and was no more. I have re-established the destroyed solder pads and found the "exact" chip from AlIEXPRESS (Same place I found my MOST150 chips). I am in the waiting period. I found a bios dump (or so it said) "https://vinafix.com/threads/ms-15451-ms-1545-vector-gp66hx-12ugs-066.46702/". I assume its newer IE 66HX vs 67HX, but it seems to be the same dump. I have every MSI update BIOS (E1545IMS.109-*.1D)in .zip folders. WHAT IS A BIOS DUMP? WHERE CAN I GET ONE? HOW TO USE IT WITH AN UPDATE? All constructive help is appreciated.
