fwr1,

Please read the Moan Guide and then start your own new topic in the correct area, giving as much information as you can about the problem you're having

Is there any websites that will explain how to make a slipstreamed XP CD that will be an unattended install and input the product key and copy the activation files to the correct directory during the install (like the system restore CD's for my Sony Viao)?
Or simply directions on how to create a set of system restore CD's that install windows, all the updates, and all the programs you want to install with no user input needed other than swapping out the cd's (Ie...disc 1,2,3,etc...)?

If you want to upgrade your motherboard, but would rather not go through the whole business of repairing your Windows installation afterwards, there's a very good chance that the advice in this article may help you!

This post is exactly what I need yesterday. Unfortunately I did the hassle of installing new OS. Well, better luck next time.

Might be worth noting that if you try to repair an SP2 windows with a non slipstreamed version of XP it can fail looking for SP2 files on installation/repair.
