How do I remove the metal plate on ram

My laptop model is GE66 12UGS and I'd like to upgrade my 16gb DDR5 rams to 32GB, but I don't know how to remove this metal plate, is it glued to the motherboard? how do I remove this, is it even removeable? if so, what tools should I use? thanks in advance
