I am the proud owner of a MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 with the lastest firmware. I have a GPU (inno3d x3 4099) with 3x1.4 display port en 1xhdmi 2.1. I would like to use the monitor without dsc. In the manual it states that 3440x1440@240Hz possible is on hdmi 2.1 without dsc. However, when is turn dsc off on the monitor it swifts to 2560x1440 and no apparent way to get it to 3440x1440@240Hz. I use the provided hmdi cable from msi. My own 8k hmdi cable gives the same results.

My question is: given the port on my GPU, the provided cable, and the monitors manual i should be able to achieve 3440x1440@240Hz without dsc. But how do i achieve this?

Please to do below steps after flashing firmware.
1.Please remove power cord on the monitor around one minute.
2.Please re-plug power cord on the monitor.
3.Please do reset in setting page under OSD menu.

The last step as attachments is forget easily after flashing firmware.

MSI tested the monitor and confirm it works with 3440*1440 @ 240hz via HDMI with DSC off.
They also recommend you to completely reset monitor using OSD and try again.

240Hz refresh rate is not available at 3440x1440 resolution with DSC OFF on Nvidia RTX 4xxx gpus, because RTX 4xxx supports max 1350MHz pixel clock, but MSI EDID (fw .014) uses 1398.75 MHz pixel clock for 3440x1440 @240Hz resolution with DSC OFF.

You can fix this yourself via CRU, you need to modify "DSC OFF" EDID and reduce Black Porch from original 166 to 108 lines to stay within 1350 MHz pixel clock limit.

This is not an issue on Nvidia RTX 5xxx gpus, because they support up to 1620MHz pixel clock.

I tested this and it is working fine, hopefully MSI can fix this in future firmware release.
