How can I remove this annoying Caps Lock indicator which fills my screen every time I tap the Caps Lock key? My laptop is a MSI Katana B12VGK and I have Windows 11 25H2 installed. Is it caused by a Windows 11 setting, MSI Center or another program?

I thinks its Windows, I get an indicator with caps lock on/off but it is a small square at the bottom of the screen and it only stays there for a second or two. I don't have MSI Center installed.

edit- I found mine is due to having Logitech Options installed (Logi Options+)

I wasn't having it before but I don't consider it small. It appears at the bottom. I don't have Logi Options+ installed.

Do you have any external keyboard or mouse? There could be a 3rd party software with the external device, try to check the software first.
If you cannot find the software or the function, do a clean boot refer to the instruction: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd
Make sure to follow the instructions closely and do NOT disable the Microsoft services.
Then see if you still see this same issue while you are in a clean boot. If not, you can start enabling a few services back at a time to help narrow down which software is causing the indicator.

Thank you. I followed your advice and found out MSI Foundation Service is the culprit in MSConfig. It's installed by MSI Center and it was most likely installed by its latest version (2.0.66.0) since I wasn't having this annoying indicator previously. I hope MSI fixes this bug as well as these two.

Haven't heard anyone encountering these issues, and there is no indicator on my laptop with the latest MSI Center installed. So, if you use the clean installation tool to remove MSI Center, all of the problems disappear?

I don't know what tool is that but I don't think so since I have these problems right after doing a clean Windows 11 install and installing MSI Center.

Thank you! I started having this problem after updating the MSI Center today. So I just deleted this file and restarted and the caps lock notification stopped showing up.

It's an issue with the newest MSI centre update
To fix it go Windows > System Configuration > Services > Then look for 'MSI Foundation Service' and uncheck it > Apply changes > Restart when prompted

Disabling MSI Foundation Service does not affect MSI centre whatsoever as far as I have seen

Hi, I also encountered this Caps Lock indicator after updating MSI Center v2.0.66.0 and reported it to MSI support.
They shared a link as a solution: Short-term solution for MSI Center caps lock OSD
Download and extract the package, right-click on the file and run as administrator, the problem will be solved after rebooting the system.

Thank you! I guess they will fix it in the next version.

Could you tell me how to report bugs to MSI so I can do it with the other 2 bugs I mentioned regarding MSI Center?
