MSI had launched the Titan GT77 before long, which is truly a dream gaming laptop for extreme performance coming with up to the latest 12th Gen. Intel® Core™ i9-12900HX processor and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3080 Ti graphics. The Titan is reborn and features top-of-the-line performance and design.
As we know, MSI provides wonderful MSI Center software transferring lots of complicated settings into a friendly UI to adjust the performance. However, there’re still some tips you should know about how to squeeze all performance for the game titles. Please remember to update the MSI Center to the latest version to make sure all the functions work properly, and plug-in the adapter to your laptop to get sufficient power for full performance.

Here are the steps to optimize the setting for the extreme performance.
1. MSI Center - User Scenario (Default: Smart Auto AI)
Switch the profile to “Extreme Performance” and click the gear icon to advanced settings. Here you can overclock the GPU Core Clock and VRAM Clock. For the highest performance, we just shift them to +200MHz to get the highest performance.
Then change the fan speed to “Cooler Boost” to ensure the system has the best cooling all the time.

2. Discrete Graphics Mode (Default: MSHybrid Graphics Mode)
Go to “General Settings” and easily switch the GPU working mode by clicking the “Discrete Graphics Mode” from GPU Switch, and the signal transmission will be changed to directly from the discrete GPU after the system reboots.

3. Gaming Mode
Check the status of Gaming Mode in the module first. If it doesn’t show in the feature tab, you could install it from Feature Sets. If the game title doesn’t exist in the list, just click the “Add Game” icon to add it manually.

4. Power Mode (Default: Balanced)
To change the power mode, select Start > Settings > System > Power & battery. For Power mode, choose the “Best performance” for the highest performance.

After completing all the customized options, we are ready to enjoy the extreme performance. We use a Titan GT77 with 12th Gen. Intel® Core™ i7-12800HX processor and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3070 Ti graphics to benchmark in 2 game titles, and see the comparison between default and all adjustments in Titan GT77.

After the adjustments, we do have a significant enhancement with up to 28% performance up (may vary depending on the demands of game titles). If you are interested in a performance beast - Titan GT77, you could learn more via the following link.

A MUX switch mostly affects games that put a lot of strain on the CPU with high framerates.

Some game features have a bigger impact on performance than others, and the features that you should adjust first can vary from game to game.
  • Shadow effects
  • Reflection effects
  • Ambient occlusion
  • Motion blur
  • Depth of field

If you’re into graphics-intensive applications like gaming, I suggest you undervolt your CPU.

doesn't that hurt laptop components and the gpu? I have been noticing artifacts while running 3dmark timespy benchmarking by following this instruction. I was unaware and illiterate about overclocking on laptop gpu but after doing that those red artifacts and slutterings caused (discrete gpu mode, extreme performancce , coolerboost 5 on). later I came to know such artifacts are sign of defective gpu. my laptop is only 1 month old still it's like brand new. so are those artifacts normal or is the laptop defective or have I harmed my system unknowingly?
