How to try to boot Unbootable Portable SSD with GV72

So I have a GV72-8RE laptop and I have a portable sandisk SSD with Ubuntu in it. I installed grub in the ssd rather than my main laptop ssd so that I can boot it from any computer. But for some reason my gaming laptop does not allow me to boot my portable ssd. In bios, sandisk SSD is among the USB Mass Storage Devices, but I can't put it in Boot menu in my BIOS. For some reason my laptop BIOS automatically cross out devices from boot menu that it think wouldn't boot.
So my question is how can I try to boot an unbootable device in my laptop? I have tried to disable to both fast boot and safe boot but it didn't cut it.
Main OS in my computer is Windows 10 Home 64-Bit by the way.

Do you mean you want to boot the laptop from the external SSD?
Or the SSD installed on the laptop?

I guess the SSD has compatibility issues with your laptop.
Have you checked this point?

Laptop and BIOS recognize the portable ssd fine. I can see the files and all from Windows. It is even amoung USB Mass Storage Devices.
Problem is I can put this portable SSD into the Boot Menu. In all my other pcs I can put all devices, even if it is unbootable, into the boot menu. But for some reason I can't with the bios of this laptop.
