How to update a BIOS for Dummies... I'm the dummy :/

So... there's a problem with my brand new GE76 12UGS: it doesn't recognize the webcam. It did, at the beginning, because I tried it at first; some days later, not anymore. Following some Windows help steps, tried to uninstall the cam from the device manager and let the system recognize it again by itself on a restart (as Windows Help said it would do...)... but it didn't. It doesn't appear in the Device Manager anymore and it turned out gray in MSI Center.
Then, I read there may be a problem with old BIOS. Mine is .207 (from 31/03/2022) and there's a new version from this July. Since the BIOS is the one that initiates the hardware, it may be the problem, right?
Or can I fix it any other way?

Also, I've never updated a BIOS and I'm kinda scared. It's a new laptop, after all. I watched a video explained how to easily do it with MSI Center, but mine do?esn't have that "Advanced" button option, it just updates drivers. Do I need to update the BIOS from a USB memory? What should I expect when first initialating the new BIOS, do I need to touch anything else there?
I'm computer friendly, within Windows; but this is new for me. Please, help

Following Directions are for windows based OS

Right Click on the Downloaded Bios Zip File, select properties if you see the message this file is blocked by windows tick the box to unblock and click OK.

Extract the BIOS file from the Downloaded ZIP file Open the folder it was extracted to.

Right click on the BIOS file, select copy and then paste it into a 32GB or smaller USB drive drive Formatted to FAT32.

Leave USB in Port and Reboot Lappy Hold down DEL Key to enter BIOS and select M-Flash
Lappy will reboot and enter M-Flash select correct BIOS file and hit enter
Wait till Lappy has update BIOS and has rebooted enter and set up BIOS
Enable XMP should just be all you need to do.

Hey, Alan J I read your message some days ago, but it took me some time to come around and do it. Once I finally got to it, it was easier, faster and much friendlier than I expected. Now I feel dumb but, you know, better safe than sorry, right? xD
As I expected, a BIOS update brought the webcam back to the Device Manager and nothing else was needed, actually: it works again just fine^^

Hey, Alan J I read your message some days ago, but it took me some time to come around and do it. Once I finally got to it, it was easier, faster and much friendlier than I expected. Now I feel dumb but, you know, better safe than sorry, right? xD
As I expected, a BIOS update brought the webcam back to the Device Manager and nothing else was needed, actually: it works again just fine^^
