after I downloaded the files to update the BIOS and transferred them to my flash drive, I restarted my computer and went into the BIOS, but I continue to receive this error

Please provide screenshot of the BIOS screen by clicking F12 in the BIOS. Also the screenshot of the BIOS file included in the USB drive.

Besides the possibility of it being the wrong BIOS-file or wrong file system on the USB-stick:
Is this motherboard from an OEM-build or is it DIY?
Sometimes OEM-motherboards (even if they got the same name) don't accept the BIOS-updates provided on MSI's motherboard support sites, as those are for the retail version only.

It should be this file
which you need to extract onto a FAT32 formatted USB-stick
so only the file E7A36AMS.H75 is on the drive.

If you put the unextracted .zip file onto your USB-stick M-FLASH won't recognize it as applicable.

Preferably the smallest USB-stick you've got as there have been some issues with larger sized (in terms of GB) ones in the past (although idk if that still holds true nowadays).

Alternatively you could try to update with Live Update 6 (according to the manual) or whatever the current MSI software solution is called atm (MSI Dragon Center or just MSI Center I believe) in Windows - that will search automatically for updates for your motherboard but it is usually seen as the riskier update process (as in: chance of bricking the board) compared to doing it via M-FLASH or USB-flashback directly.
