My laptop specs: MSI GT60 2PC Dominator (15')
i7 4800MQ
GTX 870M
BIOS Version/Date (from system information): American Megatrends Inc. E16F4IMS.50T, 2/12/2014
OS version: Win 10 Home 10.0.19045 Build 19045

My graphic card is literally not being used anymore by Windows 10.

I get this error:

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

So it pisses me off that I am forced to buy a new laptop while my current one still works perfectly (I don't play the latest games on it, and I have a desktop for that anyway).

I can't believe that perfectly functioning device have to be thrown away because companies stopped supporting the products. Nvidia stopped updating my GPU, so amazing!

It's like we are paying a subscription fee to use what we buy.

Unless someone has another solution than throwing away my laptop > buying a new one OR using a modified bios to replace the GPU with the 970M or 980M.

Please let me know!
