i7 + 32gb + irisXe = no game?

Hi

I have a notebook MSI Modern B14 with Intel i7-1165G7, 32GB of RAM and the graphic chip is Iris XE.

I tried playing League of Legends on the lowest setting, lowest resolution, I even followed some tutorial to disable stuff on the Windows Register related to useless processes that open while gaming, and still, every 30 seconds the frames drop to 2 and its unplayable.

I just wanted to check if is there anything I could do to have a decent gaming experience on lowest setting, even 480p. I cant believe it cannot run LOL, my friggin desktop with a GTS250 runs on 60fps and this card is older than kids going to high school.

LoL is playable even with Intel HD graphics. IrisXE can supposedly do 100+FPS at 1080p. So I think you are missing something. Is your laptop connected to power while you try playing?

Yes, connected to power

Check the settings in Intel control panel, possibly it defaults to IntelHD somehow.
Is LoL the only game you have issues with?

Lol is the only game i tested because its my work pc so i cant play much. I will check the control panel. It is strange because it is like a cycle, it runs ok for a few one or two minutes and then the fps drops to 5 for 30 seconds, and then starts the cycle again.

Maybe try some other game which is similarly not very demanding and see how that would behave.
