You also need to be careful when purchasing USB 2.0 devices, hubs and card readers included. USB 2.0 devices can be sold as "full speed" or "high-speed." Full Speed devices will only transfer at 12Mbps(the max 1.1 protocol). High Speed devices will transfer faster than 12Mbps, but I don't believe it means it has to be able to transfer at 480Mbps--just faster than 12Mbps.
If a device is labled as USB 2.0 Full Speed it will appear under the standard USB. My Olympus Camera is labled as USB 2.0 Full Speed and this is where it appears. My Memorex USB 2.0 flash drive was labled "High Speed" and it is under the "Enhanced" controller tree. So remember, not all 2.0 devices are created equal.
