Hi all,

Intel APO now supports 12/13th gen processors.
However, the option "Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology" is missing from the BIOS for 12/13th gen users.

My PC
CPU: 13900K
Motherboard: MSI Z790 Gaming Edge WIFI DDR4 (BIOS Version - 7D91v1B)

Below is an image of the option available on a 14900K system.

APO does not work with 12th gen on latest BIOS. It was confirmed on ASUS DTT forum post https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/downl...-intel-dtt-gna-5xx-6xx-7xx/td-p/905856/page/7 that newer microcode and dtt support through BIOS update was needed to enable APO for 12th gen. 14th and 13th gen were able to enable APO with only the new driver, but they are based on the exact same architecture so it made sense. Commenters on the ASUS forum found that the latest BIOS update, which was released very quickly across all ASUS Z790 and Z690 around the same time, enabled the correct 12th gen APO/DTT support.
Asus comes with 34 microcode, MSI beta bioses come with 35, which is in fact even newer.

Also, the application just throws out a "Could not start" erorr for me on 1H1 (Z690-A D4) bios, updated ME, chipset and DTT drivers, 12700k.

I did try and it’s working fine. Make sure you are using the correct file. I’m on a z690 wifi edge dd4 paired with a 12700k and all is good

Ok i've got the very latest Bios from the MSI Website for the Z790i and I can see Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology in the bios and this is turned on.
I've updated the DTT driver both from the MSI website and also tried the Asus package
Finally I've downloaded the Intel Application Optimization app from the store..
No lock it says fails to connect. I've also tried following the video above. Again no luck.

Any ideas? 13900KS

Cheers

I got it working with a I5-13600K and bios 7E03v1A1
At first I got same problem as you.
I did a few things and what fixed it I do not know.

Downloaded driver version 9.0.11405.42569
Extracted zip-file
Opened device manager and marked top of device three
Action > Add driver and browsed to extracted zip-file and added drivers
Lastly I executed install.bat as administrator

MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 and 12th gen. LAST AMI BIOS 7D32v1H, INTEL APO ON?

hi i own i7 12700kf with that board, it is true that if i update to last bios i will have INTEL APO OPTION IN BIOS?

With this Bios yes
Not positive about Bios on the MSI website
But it should work the same as the Beta Bios v1H1
Noticed that msi posted the new bios for z690edge , is it the same as the one postted here few pages ago?im using that one so just making sure nothing has changed between those 2 since they’re the same version number

Just looked at the Bios notes and there are no changes listed between 7D32v1H1 and 7D32v1H so should be Identical except the the Version Number

I got DTT working with 7D32v1H from official support site. I'm on Z690 Tomahawk DDR4 and 12600KF.

Steps:
1. Update bios.
2. Activate DTT in new bios.
3. Install DTT driver (atleast 9.0.11405.42569 from support site).
4. Install APO from UWP.
5. Enjoy.

Was this on the Z790i board?
I've tried all the above and its still not working.
I 100% have it turned on in the bios.
I've the latest driver from MSI and done it manually one by one as well as the excitable.
DTT from MS Store.

No dice.

Yes Z790i, you mention that you have it turned off in bios, DTT should be turned on.
