Hi all,

Intel APO now supports 12/13th gen processors.
However, the option "Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology" is missing from the BIOS for 12/13th gen users.

My PC
CPU: 13900K
Motherboard: MSI Z790 Gaming Edge WIFI DDR4 (BIOS Version - 7D91v1B)

Below is an image of the option available on a 14900K system.

Was this on the Z790i board?
I've tried all the above and its still not working.
I 100% have it turned on in the bios.
I've the latest driver from MSI and done it manually one by one as well as the excitable.
DTT from MS Store.

No dice.
Delete all DTT and APO related drivers using Device Manager and then install drivers via Device Manager's Add Device method (point it towards the main folder of the repository).

Apparently, I was not clear enough please wait for the next Bios to Drop
Sorry Alan I was going off your previous advice and assumed it was already captured due to another user having it work on this board. Happy to hear it's not an issue my end and look forward to the next release. I'd have hoped the 7XX series would have been prioritised over the older 6XX series chipset though?
That should be up on the MSI website
But some boards may still be waiting for BIOS
The earthquake on Wednesday morning will cause delays.

Here we go

This Bios supports APO for your motherboard

Unfortunately, this didn't work...

Installed new bios
Spent ages reapplying undervolt and mem overclock
Set APO to ON.
I uninstalled all Dynamic Tuning from Software components and the Intel APO app from the store.
Restarted
Reinstalled from the MSI Website version v9.0.11405.42569
Latest Intel Application Optimization App downloaded and installed

Pretty much ready to give up here.

Riddle me this...

I rebooted the computer, nothing has changed Memory Integrity is still on, Bios settings as they were. Why would it now Fail to Connect again??

Not sure but I would suspect a Software problem
I do not have any Intel over 11 gen but I ould say it is the software or a Driver problem

It's bugged yes, try reboot again and see if will start working.
Noted similar issues.

Hello everyone. I have a problem with APO not working after installing windows mixed reality app. Has anyone encountered this error? My hardware is MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI and i9 13900K

Any idea when the Pro Z790-P WIFI DDR4 might get an update? There are a few newer ones posted than my current version (7E06v15), but the last one was in January, and the only one that mentions APO was a version before that.
I play one of the games on the APO list, so it would be worth updating to enable the feature, but I'm reluctant to do a speculative update.
Well, just over a month later 7E06v1B has finally dropped.
Flashed it after updating the IME, pretty sure I was able to apply all the same tweaks. 3Dmark scores are about the same as before including the CPU profile, but Cinebench R23 is running 1-2k points lower and I'm not sure why. It appears to be hitting the same clocks. Don't know if it was this new version or a change in one of the other versions since 7E06v15. May not matter in practice.

As for APO, that worked immediately, in that it's on. Not yet had a chance to see what, if any benefit it gives.

I've tried via two different OS installs and still no dice. I've given up.
Considering going AM5 7800X3D TBH.
Do you have both memory integrity and core isolation on? IIRC they're separate settings. I don't know if its required but I have both on and it's working.

Aaand Microsoft decided it was a new PC and deactivated windows, which had a digital licence upgraded from a retail copy of 7 Pro and the paid upgrades to 8 and 8.1, and activated on this board last August, but since those keys have now been obsoleted last september I was invited to buy a new one for full price from the store...
Damn, sorry, my previous post was from my phone and I didn't see this had been covered a few posts back until I viewed it on a proper browser.
