Hi all,

Intel APO now supports 12/13th gen processors.
However, the option "Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology" is missing from the BIOS for 12/13th gen users.

My PC
CPU: 13900K
Motherboard: MSI Z790 Gaming Edge WIFI DDR4 (BIOS Version - 7D91v1B)

Below is an image of the option available on a 14900K system.

This still doesnt work with my 13900KS and Z790i across two different windows installations.. With Core Parking on and all the latest drivers..

I recently upgraded to a 14700KF on a Tomahawk, newest BIOS, newest chipset drivers, newest Intel DTT drivers listed above supplied by MSI on the board's support page, DTT enabled in BIOS, and the Intel APO app STILL gives a "failed to connect" error. MSI is dropping the ball hard here. I have a service ticket in I'm still waiting on a response to. It's like MSI has no real intention of supporting this feature even if you're on 14th gen, so I highly doubt you'll get it working on 12th or 13th gen.

have you tried resetting CMOS, and re-enabled Intel DTT in BIOS?
and, which BIOS version are you using right now? is it .1H0 or .1H1?

This still doesn't work right for 13900k + Z790 Godlike using the latest 7D85v1B BIOS that was just recently released and has the Intel DTT setting able to be enabled with 13900k in the menu. The MSI drivers for DTT appear to be the required version (11405), but even trying the various fixes online (reinstalling drivers, reinstalling app, toggling BIOS settings, etc) I am still getting "Failed to Connect" from the Intel APO app.

Try all latest drivers from here: [chipset, MEI, Intel DTT]

Only needed to install the Intel DTT drivers from that site and now it works. Thanks!

It appears the 11405 DTT drivers on MSI's Z790 Godlike support page don't support 13900k properly, but these newer 11703 DTT drivers do.

im using

PRO Z690-A DDR4 . i5 12600k and newest bios.. do not turn on dtt . then download drivers on site installed. restart go bios. turn on in bios.. restart. and install intel apo from ms store. and boom works. any other way it says failed.

Followed your steps and it still doesn't work on my PRO Z690-A DDR4. I'm running a 13600k and this software used to work before, I believe APO has been updated but MSI did not update their DTT drivers which in return makes it fail to connect.

Hello guys.

It's my first post here, so first of all welcome.

I had a very same problem with INTEL APO as you describe here. Was looking for an answer, but found nothing. And suddenly today, during testing DDR5 OC, I had to clear CMOS. After setting everything like earlier, INTEL APO start working... And it still works... It's not the first time when I had to reset CMOS and set everything from the begining to make something work. The main thing is I didn't use saved OC profile, just set everything manually.

Looks like BIOS still has some bugs.

Maybe you cant try this "mothod" too. Just make some notes about you settings before reset ;)

P.S.
Sorry for my english, I'm Polish and I don't use to often english language ;)

That's an interesting approach, hopefully you don't have to reset CMOS every time you update the bios. I'll try to look for alternatives as I don't want to open up my PC yet.

Each time you M-flash / update BIOS is it generally good to clear CMOS to or is that not necessary unless extreme or peculiar circumstance ?

For modern mainboards is not necessary.

unless extreme or peculiar circumstance ?

If you change some BIOS settings after that and can't boot anymore.
Or if suddenly can't boot anymore and stuck with some code, worth trying >>Clear CMOS Guide<<

MSI recently updated the DTT drivers for my Z690 motherboard (PRO Z690-A DDR4), however it still doesn't work no matter what I do like resetting bios via cmos, turning VT features on and off, or trying different versions of the DTT driver. Intel APO is either broken entirely or this is just bugged on my motherboard specifically.

Is the Intel DTT setting Enabled in the BIOS Setup?

Do you still have this issue or you already sorted it?

turning VT features on and off

This option has no effect on it.
