Game: Cyberpunk 2077 (V2.1)
Settings: High/Ultra (Nvidia Optimized) w/some ray tracing options enabled
Profile: Extreme Performance w/Cooler Boost
Highest FPS cap: 75/80
Lowest: FPS cap: 40/30
CPU Temps: 70/75C
GPU Temps: 75C
Long story short, Cyberpunk 2077 runs fantastically well when the game takes place in indoor environments and set piece shootouts. During this point the frame rate w/DLSS stays consistent at 70+FPS. Outdoor environments and driving segments are where the limitations begin to show. There is no noticeable texture load in and object pop-ins. However, the frame rate does take a massive dip to 40 fps and even sub 30 whenever driving or walking around the open world is happening. It does stabilize after a while but it can be jarring. For certain the game is limiting the number of NPC's and vehicles that can be loaded into the game, which in turn depending on your perspective may hinder the immersion. Clearly a game that must be played on high end rig to truly appreciate the immersion and georgeous visuals. Yet this is still a highly playable experience on this particular laptop. The 8GB VRAM and 40W CPU TDP might be a limitation but as far as laptop performance goes it went better than expected. Much better in fact.
If your laptop has an RTX 3070 Ti or a 4070 paired with a decent CPU. This is highly playable and still a great gameplay experience. Comes highly recommended.
