Hi,
It s been one and half years since I bought my MSI GF63 8RC laptop and since its been working great, but lately I noticed that the battery is getting swollen. Swelling so much that I can notice the housing getting deformed. As a solution Ive unplugged the battery from the motherboard and now Im thinking of using it without the battery since I always use it plugged in.

Do you think its safe to use the laptop without battery long term? Because on some forums I've noticed that the laptop may use the battery even while plugged in to get more power

As I know, the hybrid power feature has supported since the CPU 8th SKU.
But you can double-check with MSI technical support.

all non removable battery -- hybrid :p
remove battery -- no boot "dead nb"

definition -hybrid power ,,not may not be correct
but need DC loadline ,,need full circuit ,,,all works half AC/DC mix "like before hybrid"
non-removable battery ,,,non-removable battery
