Is my board dead?

I just tried updating the BIOS with a flash rom and it didnt work, my computer wont come up. Afterwards I tried resetting the comp by switching the jumpers as well as removing the battery, but none of those methods worked. The board powers on and all I see is 4 red lights. I also tried the BIOS recovery from the website and that did not work either but I am not sure if I did that correctly. I have a MS-6529 board. Any help would be appriciated!

It does sound that way


Try removing all the hardware and only use the CPU+RAM+VGA to see if it will post.

If you can get a PCI VGA card it might show you the boot block message that will allow restoring the bios.

I just tried that and it didnt work. I dont think I got to try the website's way of restoring the bios since my comp wont detect any keyboard commands when its turned on, is there any way I can do that?

Your options are:
-Flash the chip at a place with EEPROM flashing capability.
-Do a hotswap flash (a bit risky)
-Order new programmed chip from www.flashbios.org or www.badflash.com
