Is this a concern?

I was asked to resubmit my serial number on my Coreliquid s360, and I fully unsheathed it from its cardboard cover to get a good photo, I came upon a small indent in the fins. I cannot see a hole but there is some kind of white powder on the bed under the fins. Should I be concerned? as a leak could destroy everything. Im going to start building my pc soon as I have the last component needed arriving in the next couple of weeks. I purchased it in the 1st week of April and provide pictures of damage.

that should not effect it. if it had a hole in the Fluid Channel you would already see signs of it, just bend them back over with a Flat Head Screwdriver and it should work totally normal. that can happen as they are thin very easy to bend Metal from any tiny bump.

Thanks for advice, my concern was does the white powder indicate a leak had previously occurred as its only on and around the damaged part. Also if it were to leak its above every other component putting them at risk. But I will take your advice and plug it in as it seems like a small indent. Thanks again.

the fins are metal that is powder coated and then Painted, plug it in outside of the case before you decide to install it to make sure its not leaking first (for that you can do a Dry Run of just connecting the pump to a Power Source and let it run for a while with a Piece of Kitchen Roll under it and see if anything is happening as the Liquid in them is usually Green due to the Additives that are used so White Residue is no issue its the green stuff).
