My question is does Win 11 have issues with my mb? The only thing the Microsoft Tech people and I could think of was that the 2.5 gbps wouldn't work with 11 since it is so new. I kept getting an error message with the installation process about 35% thru that my win 10 system didn't have the latest version of CfosSpeed to complete the installation. Microsoft had never heard of this and since it is early in Win 11 distribution. I down loaded this product that was supposed to be the upgrade for win 11 but it never downloaded and I'm out 18.00 now and nothing has changed. Tried both methods of win 11 installation the settings upgrade and force feeding it from Microsoft web site with no luck.. I'm not sinking but am wanting to complete win 11 install... thanks for your input..

You need to update your BIOS. Update how-to:
1) Get the latest BIOS. It's always the topmost one when you click on "BIOS" on the MSI support page, https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z590-A-PRO
2) Extract the file onto a USB stick.
3) Enter the BIOS by pressing DEL during boot, go to "M-FLASH" in the BIOS.
4) Once M-Flash (the updater) is loaded, it will show a list of your drives. Select the USB stick and select the previously extracted file on there.
5) It will ask for confirmation and then update the BIOS. It's fully automatic from there, takes about two minutes.

As for the LAN drivers, use these from Intel, "Wired driver x64", https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...el-network-adapter-driver-for-windows-10.html

For installing Win11 fresh, use the Media Creation Tool from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
"Create Windows 11 Installation Media"

This will prepare a USB stick/drive with the installation data. Then you have to boot from the stick (press F11 during boot for the boot menu, select the stick there) and install.

Once Windows 11 has installed, install the Intel Chipset Driver first (from the MSI site under Drivers). Then you can install all the other drivers, like audio driver and Ethernet/LAN driver.

I have the same motherboard and Windows 11 works just fine on it. No issues with installation.
The latest bios will set all the security settings to what they need to be. Make sure you have it installed.
Also make sure to unhook/unplug any hardware you don't need while doing the upgrade/install.

best of luck

CfosSpeed is installed by the Lan Manager in MSI Center I believe. You can update it there, or uninstall it until Win 11 is installed.
