I have the GE-66 RAIDER 10SFS, my dragon center recently got updated (I have automatic updates enabled). Since the update I am not able to switch between MSHybrid and Discrete graphics mode. Whenever I click on switch it just shuts down instead of rebooting to switch.
Please help me out!

this is the same thing that is happening to me after latest dragon center update (2.0.82.0 via windows store), although nvidia optimus is still continuing to automatically switch. I own the ge66 and it must be a bug with dragon center, so I hope an update or patch will fix this.
update: I just checked my bios after posting this comment and msi-hybrid mode is still activated, so this bug means that dragon center couldn't activate discrete mode even when enabled. this is pretty upsetting.

Do you mean the GPU switch option in the Dragon Center not working after the update to v2.0.82.0?
Have you checked the GPU in the Device Manager if you switch to discrete mode?

yes, the gpu switch is broken in latest update, it shows discrete mode yet bios reflects hybrid mode. additionally, newest dragon center is basically stuck in showing discrete mode no matter what, even after changing to hybrid and rebooting. so in other words it is unable to change the mode, yet stuck showing discrete. also, it doesn't actually overclock my 2080 super when modifying options in extreme performance mode, I need to use other software (nvidia inspector), but that's an entirely different issue. I've stuck by MSI for all of my graphics cards and laptops for years and I always will, but dragon center seems to be always broken.

Hi all,
Same problem here.
I have a GE75 Raider 10SF and since yesterday or 2 days ago, again the switcher of F7 key (the one that enables to change modes of the Dragon Center) stop working. Again after a Windows' update. It is the 3rd time since I have the laptop (this August 2020) that the key/s stop working after a Windows update.

Wondering if this is going to hapen everytime there's an update...
I guess we have to wait until they fix it.

I have multiple issues since the MSI Dragon Center update to v2.0.82.0 as well with my MSI GE66 Raider 10SF
  • The same issue that you described. It seems to be stuck on Discrete Graphics mode, and if I try to change it; it states that it will restart the computer when in reality; it just shuts it down. When I come back to Windows, it is set to Discrete Graphics Mode yet again...
  • The Webcam has ceased to function entirely. I guess this depends on whether you had it enabled or not before you updated. I have read about a lot of others not being able to disable it. For me it is the other way around. After the control center update, the device is not shown; FN + F4 does not show any icon and switching the webcam between on or off in the Dragon Center does absolutely nothing.
Really concerned with how little MSI test their software.

I have the same issue also.
I have created the ticket to the MSI technical support.
They will fix this issue in the next version.
