Hello
I've had the MD342CQPW for just over a week now. I'm enjoying the ultrawide but I'm having all sorts of issues with picture quality.
Firstly, I've tried everything - HDMI, Displayport, 8 bit, 10 bit, normal, fast and fastest response times and a firmware update.
My main issue is awful motion blur on everything - scrolling web pages, moving documents left to right on screen, movies. I haven't even tried gaming on it yet.
I watch a movie and there's bad red smearing on even the slowest of movement (ie people walking side to side at the start of Top Gun).
When I drag Windows notepad across the screen, the white text on a dark background leaves white trails.
When I scroll webpages, text sometimes reddens and blurs. This gets slightly better when using the fast response time.
Now I know this is a VA panel. I understand the issues that comes with this. The thing is that it's REALLY REALLY bad. I've just come from a 27" 1440p MSI VA screen and I never noticed anything like this.
Also, should the default recommended scale on Windows 11 be 100% on a 34" 3440x1440? I still find the text slightly big even at 100%.
I did book a return of the monitor but cancelled it as I thought I'd give it another go. All these issues are making everything a chore. In my opinion, the monitor is not fit for purpose.

A couple of photos of the red smearing/blur watching movies.
