Hello.
I purchased the PS63 008 from Bestbuy.

Specs:
Intel 8565u
Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti
16GB DDR4 (Single Stick)
512GB SSD

The GPU driver that comes with the laptop is Nvidia 417.22. It is a DCH driver.
When I try to install the latest driver (419.17), I get the error : This NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows.

Things I've tried:
  • Uninstall driver via programs and apps
  • DDU in safe mode with airplane mode off
  • Went into device manager and uninstalled the driver after uninstalling it in programs and apps
  • Use GeForce Experience (Can't find the GPU)
  • Updated Intel driver to latest DCH
  • Tried both the Standard and DCH drivers from Nvidia
  • Tried installing the EXACT SAME STOCK DRIVER (417.22) directly from Nvidia... it failed

I had to download the driver directly from MSI for it to work. When the driver direct from MSI installed correctly, I also tried updating via GeForce Experience and it says I have the "latest driver (417.22).

Anyone have any ideas why I can't update? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

The problem is that the GPU model is not included in the official nvidia drivers.
I have the same problem.

A solution for this is to edit some files in the official drivers / add information about your exact GPU.
I contacted MSI support about this but they were no help at all.
