Hello,

I have a X58 platinum and I installed 2 drives on SATA port 7 and 8 in mirror mode.
How do I get the JMB32X RAID Configurer in order to manage this raid unit.
I was'nt able to find this thing anywhere.
How do you manage to recover data if one drive dies ?

Thanks,

Fran?ois

The RAID array access can be found in your board's manual.

When you are mirroring the disk, it is able to function as a single drive even if one of the drives fails. When the replacement drive is back, just access the RAID array setup and mirror it back again.

Thank you for your answer.
The manual does'nt tell much about the Jmicron on port 7 and 8.
It says on page 2-15 that you can set the raid mode in bios ( done ) or through the JMB32X raid configurer that no one seems to know about, including the MSI and Jmicron people that do not answer my mails.
On page 3-12 it shows how to do it bios way and the manual finishes with 7 pages about the mysterious (so far) JMB32X raid configurer.
I do not mind about having no software way of controlling the raid assy but how do I monitor its state beside going inside the bios, because right now if one drive fails there is no way to know about ?
Thanks again.

That's the restrictions with software raids. Even for hardware RAIDs with dedicated RAID cards, only some will come with such utilities.
