I am currently in the process of building my first computer and purchased a K7N420-P MB. In the Appendix:DDR DIMM Configuration it is stated not to populate DIMM3 with any dual load (dual bank) modules.
I am new to PC building and I do not know what a dual load (dual bank) memory module is. Can someone tell me what is referred to here?

Thanks in advance

In the provided manual is a note that reads, "Dual load refers to physical device beds on the data bus". What is this saying? ?(

hi

ram comes as single sidded and what we all have double sidded

ive never seen the single my self

from bios 2.3 on the comment does not apply

at the end of the day the board works best with 2

matched dimms of ram

you gain no speed and possibly loose some with 3

2x256 is fine for 99 out of 100

I find that if you populate all 3 DIMMS a person takes a performance hit. I took the stick out of the 3rd DIMM and get better results.

Don't worry all todays DDR memory modules are dual load. Just stick you memory modules at banks 1&2 and you will be fine
