my corsair 2x512 pc3700 twinx will not work even with setting timings manually nor with the New Geil pc4000 (2.5,7,4,4) 4x256 all 6 modules are known good and tested on NF2 and Canterwood rigs.

ANy ideas on when a bios update to fix this might occur?

im stuck using 2x256 Hyperx pc4000

or even worse some old Hynix ram

Hi,

Try the memory on another other machine and see if they work. If not, memory is faulty (so RMA them), otherwise try the upgrade the motherboard to the latest bios.

so far, what I gather is only the Corsair 3200 works for this mobo. As for my system, using hyperX 3200 2 x 512MB, smooth boot and able to run stable at 210 FSB using the mems recommended settings. My previous Twinmos Winbond CH-5 also works well. Guess MSI has to address this ram incompatiblility, they did in a manner that they published in their product webpage on the specific mems that can use for the mobo.

The first AMD test setup

CPU : AMD Athlon64 2GHz ? 200MHz FSB

MEMORY : OCZ PC3700 ? 512MB

HDD : Western Digital 40GB

OS : Windows XP Professional

During the test I experienced, that the system was unable to boot up with Corsairs XMS3700 memory module. So I had to exchange it with an OCZ PC3700 memory module.

seems your not alone
