Anyone using the Low Latency DIMMS from Corsair (2 x 512)? I'm hoping to get my system on Friday and will be getting these. Anyone using them? Also, anyone using Raptor drives in RAID 0? Is it fast :D

hei..

I used GEIL ULD memory at 2 3 2 5 timings and I got worse results in all benches then when I set the timings to 2 3 3 7.. First time ever I get less speed with sharper timings.

I got 19100+ 3dMarks with 2 3 2 5 but I got 19900-20100 with 2 3 3 7.

BTW the system would not boot at 2 2 2 5.

Do a few benches since it's obious that sharper timings don't always mean more speed.

Hi,
I'm running the corsair 3200ll 1024mb twinx in my k8t800 board @2-2-2-6/430Mhz/2.7v with no problems.

Getting sandra memory scores of 3300 & 3dmark2001se scores of 20800+

I tried the same TWINX memory combination and the computer would not boot up.

Did you have to change the memory settings in the BIOS to have your system recognize the CORSAIR modules? If so, which were exactly the settings you chose?

Thanks,
Santiago

I pretty much just stuck mine in & they worked. All memory setting were at default, the memory was 'locked' at 400Mhz. I had to up the memory dimm voltage to 2.7 to get the memory stable.

Once everything was running ok - I upped the 'fsb' to 215 -> 430MHz

Hope this helps!

Gazzler,

Please let me know where you got your Twinx Corsair modules to get exactly the same ones. I don't want to make another mistake.

Thanks,
Santiago :fear:

navarros,

I got the Corsair Platinum TwinX (2x512) DDR XMS3200LLCAS2 set. They work fine, though if I run 2226 the system isn't that stable. So I'm running 2336 and all is good. I haven't bothered playing around with the voltage yet and I haven't overclocked the processor. I'll do a 3Dmark2001 run and see what I get.

One more thing MuffinMan:

In which slots do you place the modules in your msi board. I guess 1 and 3. Please, correct me if I am wrong.

Santiago

Oh, and my 3DMark2k1 score on an un-overclocked system (with a Radeon9800Pro 128MB) was 20363. I don't know if this is good or not though :-))

MuffinMan,

I just got Corsair's Platinum modules today and they are working great. The system recognized them right away.

Have you tried to overclock yet? I have no need for that right now. Everything seems fast and stable. I'm just curious....

Thanks for your advise,
Santiago :beerchug:
