Keyboard Backlight not working.

Keyboard backlight of my new MSI Modern 15 laptop is not working since the first boot up. Only the power button backlight is working. Any solution?

Try the function key which was assigned for keyboard backlight adjustment.
It should be "F8".

Maybe the keyboard backlight cable was not connected.

I have the same problem. I got mine last week and the whole keyboard won't light up except for those utility keys. If you find any fix, please update us. Thank you

Yes I tried that. I tried the keyboard testing on that , but the led test got failed.

On the test, the LED for F8 will light up when you press it together with Fn. It just that the backlight just won't turn on, so I think the keyboard key is not the problem.

Ya felt the same. This is not the issue with the f8 key. May be a software settings issue or the cable connection issue. There is actually a separate small cable for keyboard backlight on keyboard panel, that may be disconnected or loosely connected. I tried all the possible software settings and updates, so I think that may be the cable issue.

Contacted. They didn't even check for any software related solutions. They directly said that, it's about the keyboard issue and the whole panel should be changed.

I have MSI Pulse 15 B13VGK. For me the problem was the BIOS. I had version ".10B" .
After installing everything i noticed that the keyboard backlight is not working (also F8).
After that i entered BIOS and selected "Load Optimized Defaults", and after restart i saw that keyboard turned on.
So i decided to update the BIOS to version ".10C" , and that fixed the problem for me...
