its not even that, look at the power difference , cpu voltage and temps after coming out of sleep

and offset is still broken on the latest 1.2.0.8 bios
YA there are a bit of different but not by much 9 watss less after sleep

DO you have Curve off set now in the bios setting
Have seen it mentioned for Gigabite and Asus but sounded like it was a bit glitchy

DM me your Bios config Save the file you will need to zip it before adding it to the Message
And can you repost your Build info
I will see if it can be looked at sometime this week

I'm in process of asking what may have been added for BIOS Agesa 1.2.0.8 Mainly if Curve Offse has been added or not.
It has been released for some motherboards all ready, it will be placed on the Mod Team Beta Bios site for your convenience as well as the Normal MSI Motherboard support page.
Looks like it will be rolled out for X570 Boards first but may also be dropping for B550 as well over the next couple of weeks.
With luck, all 500 series boards will have Combo Agesa 1.2.0.8 by end of the month

Now do I update or not o_Oo_O:unsure::unsure:

Hi, will DM saved profile
using 7C35vAF1(Beta version) Update to AGESA ComboAm4v2PI 1.2.0.8.

Yes now have PBO / per core optimizer still also see Kombo strike , cpu voltage offset is still broken
all I have done is set -30 all core get really nice improvments when coming out of sleep
its like drop of 10-13watts and really does help with temps would be 80c once I go into sleep and try again I get the following
after sleep.jpg

Build
5800x3d
MSI x570 unify
AIO 360 Z73
32GB F4-3600C17-16GTZR

Thanks

I have just finished running the stress and Mem test on mine with New BIOS 1.2.0.8 for my 5900X and I run a -30 offset with a Voltage offset of -0.1000V
Getting better overall multi-core clock speed and the CPU is not getting over 70c running Cinabench for 30 minutes

Cinabench Score has increased by about 1000 points with Bios 1.2.0.8 so they may have gotten it decent.

And I have noticed that the Voltage off-set seems a bit not what you set it to I have a 0.1000 but getting about 0.0750 in actual offset
This could be to do with the CPU Voltage being on Auto trying to compensate a bit I know a Voltage offset of 0.025 does nothing at all.

But setting a Voltage setting manually does bad things to your CPU clock and seems to lock it to one frequency only.

This is excellent and will make many a 5800X3D user happy

Maybe something needs to be fixed AMD's end
As it seems it is not just MSI
where it changed with Resume from Sleep
There is no concern as it does not negatively impact performance but will be further investigated.
Also looks like your Bios setting are set nicely for that CPU

Thank you for reporting this.
And I will update when I get more info may take some time though

no worries , thats the thing it doesnt egatively impact performance it improves it across the board lower power, lower temps , sustains the 4450 boost no drops just would be nice to have this all the time instead of having to enter sleep each time I boot system to get it

Ya think It left my contact scratching their heads when they tested?

Oh just out of interest, if you do not go into sleep mode but do a restart instead, will it still do the same on the restart with the lower Voltage and power as it is when resuming from sleep?

no if I restart it doesnt retain it, I have to always resume from sleep to get lower voltage and power

Hi. I installed today my new Bios ( 7C35v1K1(Beta version)) for my MEG X570 Ace.

But like someone said before here I cant see the settings for curve optimizer per core. I just have the setting for Combo strike 1 - 3.
Did MSI forgot something in this bios version for this type of mainboard?

Do you guys know if its true that CO must be set manually to -30 all core for the KS level 3 to work in the latest beta bios for the B550 boards? I am asking because thats the word on reddit and overclock.net. I thought KS3 is basically the same so it shouldn't matter if its set on KS3 or -30 all core no?

And one more thing - do you think its oversight by MSI to not include the limits option visible? The other vendors opened those options for quite some time by now, so you can drop the TDP/EDC,etc limits.

You can change the PPT, search for Package Power Limit in UEFI.

But where you guys find Curve optimizer with the 5800X3D? I dont see anything besides the Kombo Strike.

@ussssss

Could you drop a couple of screenshots of your BIOS PBO and Curve setting for other users to be able to know what to look for thanks

Yep Kombo sets -30 for all cores so Curve is more for users who may get instability at setting three

for my 5900x I have all but one core set to -30 as if I set Core three lower than -25 I get restarts.
So all rest are -30 and but for that one I also use a 0.1000v Negative offset on the CPU This has dropped temps by over 15c of my CPU temp it now never goes over 70c

I have nothing to drop bro, I just set KS on level 3 and thats it. My CPU is stable on all core -30 so I don't have reason to bother with the CO.
