the latest bios for x570 unify has kombo and pbo in bios both do the same thing , only need to use PBO if you find -30 is unstable on all cores and want to set per core

I find the 5800x3d most people are fine at all -30 probably because it has lower clock speeds

Hello, does anyone know if the MSI X570-A PRO has the Kombo Strike option? Planning to get it along with the 5800X3D. Thanks.
All MSI X570 and B550 series AMD chipset boards have Kombo Strike with the latest bios

Hi there everyone.

Recently I build a new pc.The components are :

CPU:AMD 5800X3D

GPU: MSI RADEON RX6800

RAM: 64GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE (16ร—4) A-XMP activated at 2667 Mhz

MOBO: MSI X570S carbon max wifi

AIO: Be quiet pure loop 240mm

CASE: Be quiet pure base 500fx

SSD M2 : SAMSUNG EVO 990 1T X2

SSD SATA : T-FORCE DELTA 512 GB ร—2

PSU: Be quiet straight power 11 (1000W)

The problem that I am facing is that when I activate combo strike profile 3 from bios I get random restarts and the event log kernel power event.i did benchmark stability stress test having combo strike activated and it passed.I didn't know what is going on ...Is it the psu inefficient? Or I have a faulty cpu ?anybody experienced something similar?

Be quiet straight power 11 (1000W) is more than enough, try Kombo at level 1 or 2 ? I see you are using all 4 ram slots with old RAM maybe try without XMP activated or try with 2 sticks installed and see if get same issue

was looking at the speed, maybe its new and you just selected the lower speed xmp for the ram, anyway I would try what I suggested ,

does it happen when not using kombo strike ? level 3 will be -30 all cores which can effect stability when idle or just doing general tasks , try level 1 or 2 ? if no issues with kombo strike disabled

I used that speed of ram cause according to mobos ram compatibility 4 slots used the max mhz used for this configuration is 2667.The rams are up to 3600 but if I use this configuration the system has stability issues.Right now I am at combo strike 2.Still testing it but up.to.far no restarts

You should be able to set the ram at 3200 I know it works well with CL16 3200 G-skil RipJaw-V Ram 16GBx4

Corsair ram model : CMW64GX4M4D3600C18 I can't find the exact model on the x570s ram support.
Try with the following do not enable XMP but only change what is Highlighted rest can stay AUTO memory should set its own timings
PC may reboot several times to it gets a setting it is happy with or try the Memory Try It option Look for a 3200 CL16 Option

Thanks for the reply .The system with Axmp at 3200 mhz and profile 1 of kombo strike looks stable....I don't know why the kombo profile 2 and 3 cause these hard restarts out of nowhere...profile 3 on kombo strike suppose to be the most beneficial one and I can't use it

Kombo Strile set Curve Optimiser to the following

Kombo 1 offset -10
Kombo 2 offset -20
Kombo 3 offset -30

Not all CPUs can run at Cores -20 or -30 for Curver optimiser my 5900X had to have one core set at -25 or it would crash if set lower

I will run the system with these settings to see how it will perform.

You can do it on the fly with this App

with cinebench I can adjust the cores manually?
No, the PBO2 tuner app that is attached to the post was the only screenshot of the app I could find on my PC at the moment

Should probably have clipped it

also latest bios lets you set per core does on x570 unify , saves you having to use and setup software in windows

you may just got unlucky with CPU silicone lottery my 5800x3d had it for few months and not had any issues at kombo level 3 , using 32gb ram 2 sticks of 16gb at 3600 cl16
