Latest Dragon Center can't control Crucial Ballistix RGB memory

Hi,

I just purchase a B550 Gaming Edge and some Crucial Ballistix RGB memory. After downloading and installing the latest Dragon Center, the Mystic Light portion of DC can see the memory, but can't control the effects. I have other RGB fans that are working. Only the RGB on the memory sticks can not be controlled.

Is this a known issue with the latest DC?
Any way to download an older version?

Thanks.

I've seen couple ppl reporting it but still, there are users able to control ballistix RGB memory without problem.
can you post a picture of sticker on your memory?

I have the same problem with these sticks using an X570 Tomahawk using Bios 7C84v14. Mystic Light controls 2 of them but not 4. However, sometimes the system boots and doesn't control any of them. It has never controlled all 4. See the picture... all sticks should be green. The sticks not under control pulse through a rainbow pattern (the default for these when they are not under control I guess).

FYI, I have found out that if you use Armoury Crate from ASUS you can get it to work. Rather annoying as I use Dragon Centre for my MOBO and MSI 3080 Suprim so means I have a 3rd piece of software (ICUE for case as well) just to manage my RAM.

I have the same ram as mentioned here and the same problem.

Armoury Crate from ASUS works as a workaround for now as sipyke15b302e6 posted.
Just for your information, yesterday i was in contact with the crucial support and they are in contact with MSI to get it fixed they will contact me when it can be controlled properly even with crucials own MOD (yes their own software also doesnt work) and with the MSI Mystic Light in Dragon center.

Thanks for the info.
I tried Asus Armory Crate and it also worked for me as well. Agreed that it is better than nothing.

Looking forward to a real solution from Crucial or MSI.

Just installed the new Dragon Center v2.0.98.0. Problem is still there. I also reboot the machine after uninstalling Asus Armory Crate to make sure that's not causing a conflict. Didn't help.

I have the same problem guys...
B550 Tomahawk
Bequiet 500DX
Ballistix 2x8gb DDR4 3600mhz

I can control case and mother board lights from Dragon Center but Ballistix lights are setting automatically on Rainbow and i can't change the color, even with Crucial M.O.D.

It works with Asus Crate but i don't understand why i have to use an asus software for msi mobo.

What should i do?

What should i do?
Return it for a model without RGB. Eventually, I think, the RGB controllers will appear as USB devices and we won't have to deal with these hardware problems. It's just not ready for retail. If they do fix it, a Windows update next year will break it again, by then MSI will have moved on to new gimmicks and we will be stuck with rainbow flashing motherboards forever.

Did you try latest Dragon Center v2.0.100.0? And update Mystic Light to the latest?

Take a look at the other thread I mentioned. It also has the additional manual uninstall info to cleanly uninstall Dragon Center's Mystic Light so you can at least control your MB's RGB.

I tried the latest Dragon Center v2.0.101.0. The good news is that the Mystic Light stopped crashing and I'm back able to control the motherboard lights.
The bad news is that my 4 sticks of Ballastix memory is still not controllable.

Does anyone have any updates on this? I'm about to buy RAM, but if the RGB doesn't work, I'll have to just get the non-RGB version.

I'm running the latest Dragon Center (2.0.103.0) with the latest Mystic Light 1.0.1.15. Still no luck with the 4 sticks of Crucial Ballistix memory I have.
If you are only getting 2 sticks, it may work as @kgustk159902e8 mentioned.

Updated bios to 7C84v161(Beta) and Dragon Center 2.0.104.0 which thankfully returns Mystic Light... but I still have the same issue. Can't control all four sticks. Reboot did not help. Problem still exists and I dont think will ever get fixed. Get an ASUS if you want reliable SW people...

Also, for me Asus Armory Crate can control only 2 of 4 sticks as well. Bummed...
