Latest Intel drivers vs MSI Companion; wise to have the newest drivers from Intel?

I have a MSI Raider 16 Max HX B2WI.

There is a difference in e.g. driver version of the latest, and current, Intel driver vs. the ones listed in MSI Companion?
Can I "just" install the latest Intel drivers (NPU, Platform package etc), or it is wise not to do so?
Mainly/basically, because the MSI drivers (from Companion) are -more- optimized for my current notebook and hardware?
I would like to keep my system updated, but not at all (performance) costs.

In general, you can update all of the drivers as you want. Only Intel IPF & Dynamic tuning driver were optimized by each model, so you would need to keep using the drivers from MSI.
Otherwise, if you encountered any problem after installing the latest Intel driver, restore the MSI driver.
