Live Update - Intel MVA Driver

I have the new Vector GP76 and Live Update (in MSI Center) shows Intel MVA Driver "Not Installed". When I click download, it downloads a folder with several files in but no installer or .exe. Not sure what I'm supposed to do with it. I've tried right clicking the .inf file which is in the folder and choosing install from the menu but nothing seems to happen and the Intel MVA Driver is still showing as "Not Installed" in Live Update.

Any ideas?

All you have on msi site in your laptop section.

Intel MVA Driver1.0.2062.02022-03-310.69 MB
  • Please refer to the following steps to install Intel MVA Driver by using INF files.
    1. Decompress the driver package and open the folder, then click View→Show→check File name extensions, go to the location: IntelMvaExtension.inf
    2. Right-Click on the “IntelMvaExtension.inf” file, then select ‘install’ in Show more options to install.

Like I said, already done that. Nothing happens, and it still shows as "Not installed" in Live Update. Maybe Live Update is wrong and it is installed. Is there another way I can check it's installed?

Hello, I have the same problem using the Vector GP66.
Using the following command (source stackoverflow.com) :
Get-ChildItem "C:\Users\my_username\Downloads\Live Update\Intel MVA Driver" -Recurse -Filter "*inf" | ForEach-Object { PNPUtil.exe /add-driver $_.FullName /install }

I got this result in response (Translated from French) :
Microsoft Plug and Play Utility

Adding driver package in progress: IntelMvaExtension.inf
Added driver package. (Already exists in the system)
Published name: oem17.inf
Driver package is up to date on device: INTELAUDIO\DSP_CTLR_DEV_51C8&VEN_8086&DEV_0222&SUBSYS_13211462&REV_0001\4&1c021e38&0&0800

Total number of driver packages: 1
Driver packages added: 0

However in live update Intel MVA Driver is still not indicated as installed.
Looking forward to hearing your news,
Cordially.

I looked yesterday in the device manager section audio, video and game controllers, then in :
SST for bluetooth audio
SST for audio usb
and SST for digital microphone
But I couldn't find any reference to the oem17.inf file
Would you know which driver it is attached to and in which device manager tab it can be found ?
Thank you

Seems the same thing -but so what? MVA -> connected to some MS voice assistant drivers bla bla bla
and definitely it installs by .inf file but then this buggy MSI software didn't see it. So not a big deal!
Windows will update everything it needs for windows himself so I am good with this behavior.
All is good!

It is not a big thing? okay // No es gran cosa? ok... 🤔 things should work fine, and if there are bugs they should be fixed... // las cosas deben funcionar bien, y si hay errores deben ser corregidos... 🤷‍♂️
