Looking for a solution for 3x (6+2PIN PCIe) RX 9070 XT

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a new PC build and ran into a power cable issue. My components are:

PSU: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5
GPU: ASUS PRIME RX 9070 XT

My GPU requires three 6+2-pin PCIe power connectors. However, my PSU only has four 8-pin outputs total, of which two are already used for the CPU (EPS). This leaves me with two remaining PCIe outputs.
Technically, I could connect the GPU using one dedicated PCIe cable and one daisy-chained PCIe cable to fill all three GPU connectors. However, I keep seeing recommendations to avoid daisy-chaining on higher-end GPUs due to power delivery and stability concerns.

I did find online that MSI recommends to use the PSU's 16-pin PCIe output with a 16-pin to dual 8-pin adapter cable if the GPU requires 3 connectors, but the PSU's box didn't include this adapter and I've been unable to find any webshop that sells this exact cable and delivers to Belgium. Is my only alternative to contact MSI Technical Support or are there other options?

Link to the PSU : https://www.msi.com/Power-Supply/MAG-A750GL-PCIE5
Link to the adapter : https://www.msi.com/PC-Component/16-pin-to-dual-8-pin-adapter-cable

(I did see the free adapter promotion, but my PSU model is not eligible)

Thanks for any help.

An update:

I've been looking further and found that my CPU (Ryzen 5 9600X) might not require 2 EPS cables which would free up a 8-pin slot on my PSU.
If that's an option, I could go with a 3rd PCIe 6+2 cable and fulfill the GPU's requirements without the use of adapters.
Similar question as above though - is going through MSI Technical Support the recommended way forward to get an additional first party cable compatible with my PSU model?

Thanks.

Check here to see if you can get a Cable redemption

Just ask if they can do it via Ticket system

This will guarantee you get the correct cable, and if it fails, it will be covered under warranty
