Low 3dmark scores with ti4400

I've finally gotten to 9342 in 3dmark 2001se with no overclocking. As I compare against others' results I have found that I am consistantly low on the nature test, always under 40 fps. I know its often difficult to tell if someone is OCing thier video, but my friend beat my nature score with a gf3 ti 500. Anyone notice this with their hardware? I'm using 29.42 xp drivers, vsync off, AA off, refresh rate fix. Any Suggestions?

Rob,

Those numbers are in line. Do not worry about the numbers you see on Project Compare. You can do several things to tweak your computer to get higher 3DMark2001SE scores. Look at setting all the video setting to fastest instead of best quality and disable sound on your comp to see how much higher of a score you can get.

Take Care,

Richard

Yes disable the sound.SB Live 5.1 is well known performance killer. Also in mobo Bios (advanced chipset features) set Cas latency time to "2",cycle time also to lower value. :D

I've tried to set cas to 2 and xp gives blue screen every time before welcome screen. My memory is Corsair and is supposed to be stable at 2, but I guess not. I posted that in another forum but no takers on it. Corsair said they haven't heard of that problem on 845's but I have the 645 ultra, so maybe I'll send the memory in for replacement. Until then, I'm just using ultra timings.
