M480 Pro 2TB any firmware updates

Hi,

I was reading online there are some issues with the Phison E18 controller and there have been firmware updates for the controller, has MSI released any firmware updates for this nvme drive?

Update:
New FW updater is ready.
https://www.msi.com/Storage/SPATIUM...roduct=SPATIUM-M480-PRO-PCIe-4.0-NVMe-M.2-2TBThings to note before doing the update:
  • * Back up important data from the target M.2 SSD
  • * M.2 SSD must be installed to M.2 slot directly without any adapter
  • * Unzip the file and confirm both file is in the folder:
A. [MSI]M480 SSD update tool.exe
B. pcie_dll.dll

To proceed:
- Run M480 SSD update tool.exe with admin privilege
- Confirm target SSD is recognized by tool
- Run the update tool
- Restart PC

Result:
[Pass] tool will show “firmware download success”
[Fail] tool will show “firmware not support”
If SSD FW version is up to...

Wait, could you explain this, please? I thought this thread was about "Pro" with E18/B47R, we shared screenshots of the drive model when we asked for the firmware, and now you're saying the firmware is not suitable for "Pro" model?

We don't know why doesn't work for some.
My own assumption is that not for Pro models but I now see some of the versions that flashed success was also Pro.
So I undo my own assumption.

We still don't know why doesn't work for some and throwing not supported firmware.

i can confirm it work for my M480 Pro HS 2TB
however, on the previous page, i read some people saying it didn't work on their drives

im probably asking a question with no concrete answer, but im just curious if MSI is actively working towards fixing these issues, as I plan on buying the m480 pro for my build although it'll take 6 months to arrive so im just curious on the status of the fix.

You’re waiting 6 months for an SSD? That’s just silly. Get a Samsung or Crucial SSD and get on with your build

nah I just cant build a pc right now, I still have to ship parts over. importing will cost less than buying over here and my 3050 laptop isnt all that bad rn. also maybe not 6 months but 2-3 minimum. Dosen't really matter if I get the ssd now or wait like 3 months since im shipping 80% of my build
