Is MSI also aware that the HDMI 2.1 ports on this monitor only run at 24Gbps instead of the full 48Gbps that is advertised in the first paragraph of the product page?

Probably a typo, but they do list in the manual that without DSC, the monitor can only reach 2k @ 144hz.

Don't think it's a typo, although I see *someone* magically changed it yesterday. Can enable the full 48Gbps with Custom Resolution Utility and can run 240hz w/10-bit color but the official EDID doesn't provide 240hz option without DSC. I think there is just alot of firmware issues, ie. 2 different FW versions on the support page (029 and 116), why? regional hardware differences?

different firmware usually means they have different panel model i believe. it's not cross flashable and it might kill the monitor if flashing to the wrong one. the flash tool should block wrong firmware though???
