Yeah, maybe we are all the chosen ones. . .lolsomething weird with your FW flash, cause HDR works fine on mine and panel protect doesn't change like before either.
already did. . .long time ago, when updating firmware. . .Please remove power cord on the monitor around one minute after updating firmware.
So I did combine two different suggestions here to get HDR technically working on my monitor again:already did. . .long time ago, when updating firmware. . .
See if it happens at 120hz @ 10-Bit (no DSC required with DP at that resolution), also maybe try flashing 116 again and keep unplugged for a while when the update tool prompts you to.So I did combine two different suggestions here to get HDR technically working on my monitor again:
I had already tried turning off DSC and Adaptive Sync with no success, but I decided to turn DSC off again and unplug the monitor for a full minute.
After turning DSC off, unplugging the power cord, and plugging back in after a minute, the monitor remembers the DSC being set to off, and HDR support is again recognized in Windows 11 25H2. Of course, with DSC off, the DP 1.4 on the monitor can only support 8-bit rather than 10-bit.
Turning DSC back on immediately breaks HDR support again on the monitor, while re-enabling 10-bit support.
Clearly there's something wrong here, likely with the firmware considering, as we both stated, firmware 106 did not have these issues.
120hz does work at 10-bit with HDR on using this method, and of course 240hz at 8-bit. Turning DSC back on immediately breaks HDR until redoing the series of steps I mentioned at either refresh rate.See if it happens at 120hz @ 10-Bit (no DSC required with DP at that resolution), also maybe try flashing 116 again and keep unplugged for a while when the update tool prompts you to.
Is your display running at 240hz 8-bit or 240hz 10-bit?Try turning off DSC inside monitor settings I turned that off and adaptive sync and I was having same issue updated from v106 to v116 then the display port started showing HDR again. I tried everything else even updating to windows 11 beta branch for windows updates
Strange, it seems like a DSC issue then. how about HDMI @ 240hz 10-bit? For some reason the HDMI 2.1 port needs DSC with 10-bit on this monitor when it *should* be able to do 240hz 10-bit with no DSC.120hz does work at 10-bit with HDR on using this method, and of course 240hz at 8-bit. I just attempted reflashing and leaving it unplugged for 10 minutes with both the included cable DP 1.4 cable and a DP 2.1 cable, and the problem persists.
Hi, This may be related to the Windows 11 operating system or others. Please try using the following steps and test if it help resolve your problem.already did. . .long time ago, when updating firmware. . .
I don't have an HDMI 2.1 cable, but my video card supports HDMI 2.1b and I've ordered a cable, so I'll be able to test this soon.Strange, it seems like a DSC issue then. how about HDMI @ 240hz 10-bit? No change in behaviour after doing this.Hi, This may be related to the Windows 11 operating system or others. Please try using the following steps and test if it help resolve your problem.
1. Go into OSD monitor menu -> Settings -> Reset -> "Yes"
2. Disconnect the power cable from the monitor (external adaptor and power cord). Wait about 300 seconds before reconnecting the power cable and turning the monitor back on.
3. Windows 11 OS 25H2: Select the Start button, then click Settings > System > Display > Color profile
4. Select "Automatically manage color" for apps to turn on or turn off for cross-verification. (This option is turned off by default)

No, pretty insane for a monitor that costs more than a graphics card to have multiple people with the same issues and not even receive a response. I guess I'll remember the next time I'm considering anything from MSI. I've already dissuaded a few friends who were looking at OLED monitors to avoid MSI products because of this.still no solution
Yes, I knew. I am purchasing product from abroad since 2000. I have never seen a product fail so fast and early. May be my luck? But as far as I search it’s pretty common problem with this model. So purchase with caution.most likely you understand the warranty policy correctly and MSI does not offer global warranty for their product.
Edit: updated to the new firmware, at first thought the issues had been fixed on HDMI 2.1, but realized that it was only running at 144hz without DSC on. Still no change or acknowledgement from MSI.still no solution
