First of all, the KVM in this monitor works great when manually switching between desktop and macbook.

But when I disconnect laptop from usb-c, the monitor immediately enters sleep with power cut to keyboard. Pressing the knob button on the monitor does not bring it back, there is no input to switch to because the upstream desktop computer is also asleep. When I hard power off monitor, the monitor comes back briefly, but then goes to sleep again so fast there is no time to switch KVM back to usb-a upstream. The result is that its in practice impossible to switch back to the upstream host with KVM. Is this expected behaviour or is my unit faulty?

FW version FW014

1. Please refer manual on page 15 and modify "Auto Scan" to OFF in input source page under OSD menu.
2. Please refer manual on page 18 and modify "Power Button" to Standby in settings page under OSD menu.

Ideally I want the screen to switch back to other machine when I disconnect the 'Type C' connection, but since that machine naturally puts the display to sleep because its not in active use, the monitor also goes directly to standby. When the monitor goes to standby, it also cuts the power to keyboard and mouse, so I cant wake the other machine because the keyboard is now dead. So even if the KVM correctly has switched to USB upstream, it does not really matter because the power to the keyboard is cut.

Please modify "Auto Scan" to ON for this.
It need more time for switching to another input source because it will be scanning all input source.

Ok, so I thought so too but that does not help.

I have display port + USB Upstream on first machine and use usb-c for laptop. Usb-c with PD and display port works beautifully btw. But when I unplug usb-c cable after working on laptop, the monitor immediately goes to standby. Its likely the first machine has put the display to sleep (Display Port connection). In this state the Auto Scan does not seem to work. I cant wake this machine either, as the monitor has cut power to the keyboard or the USB Upstream has not gone back to the first machine.

You must be modified some setting value on the first machine under Windows OS and BIOS for wake up by USB device.

Please provide link of picture for all information in system information in Windows OS as attachment 1.

After updating to FW017, it looks like the KVM functionality is more stable.
Using these settings, I can manually switch sources:

1. Set "Auto Scan" to OFF in input source page under OSD menu.
2. Set "Power Button" to Standby in settings page under OSD menu.
3. Set KVM to "Auto" under Gaming --> KVM

Using these settings, I am able to manually switch Monitor Input Source between USB-C and Display Port, and the USB devices with the KVM follows the active Input Source!
