I purchased the MSI MAG 320R Airflow computer case. When I opened the back to connect the necessary cables, I noticed that the control panel that should have been included with the "120A / 121A / 130A" models was already installed. My case should normally have a "G - D - +5V" control panel, but it had a "5V - G - 12V" connector. The "1 to 4 splitter" cable that should have come with the case didn't come with it either. I assumed this was a mistake and returned the product for a replacement.

My question is: Did MSI make this choice intentionally? So, will a different controller now be used in 320R cases? Because of this controller, it's impossible to control the case fans via the BIOS. No manual states that this controller is used in the 320R.

As you can see, this is actually the control panel that should be on the 120A model.

The panel specified in the 120A user manual is installed on the 320R model.

This should be the 320R panel. This way, there's no point in buying a 320R because it's impossible to control the fans via the BIOS.
