Hello,
As the title says, I have an MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK motherboard.
After installing the RTX 5060 and drivers in Windows 11, I've lost 99% of my sound. When I turn up the volume 3-4 times higher than I normally would,
I can barely hear the sound. The sound is very distorted, with crackling and buzzing noises.
My headphones are connected to the rear headphone jack of the motherboard, and the front panel of the case doesn't work (but I think I had it connected incorrectly from the start, so I disconnected it completely).
I should also add that I'm very careful with parts. I turn off the power supply or unplug the power supply cable when installing new parts.
I replaced the RTX 5060 card with my old one. That didn't help.
Unfortunately, this isn't a Windows issue, as I'm dual-booting, and Linux has the same issue. It's the same with a live Linux ISO.
Google Gemini suggested that a UEFI update might reinitialize the sound card, so I upgraded it one notch higher from version
7C91vAH file: E7C91AMS.AH0
to version:
7C91vAI file: E7C91AMS.AI0
It didn't help.
Assuming it can be fixed, Is there anything else I can do myself, or Is only the service center able to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
