Hello,
I was checking this motherboard’s BIOS page and found something interesting. In the description, alongside the usual updates, it says: “- Implemented the anti-cheat mechanism.” I’m wondering if anyone knows which game this is for, or if this is a new feature for upcoming games or the games we already have like CS, Valorant, R6, etc.
I also checked the MSI B850 motherboard page, and it has the same update note. However, brands like ASUS, Gigabyte, and ASRock don’t have this note in their latest BIOS updates.
I’m really curious , if you know anything about this, please share.
PS: Even though it’s April, this isn’t an April Fools’ joke. You can check the pages yourself.

It is an update for certificates for the fTPM. Some games require to have these updated certificates to be installed hence the reference to anti-cheat. The reference to anti-cheat is not worded sufficiently clear in my view; it is needlessly vague.

it's not going to ASUS security advisory if the issue has no CVE ID imo, that's not something mandatory that every manufactures need to write it to the BIOS note.
But I mean it won't hurt to just update to the latest version.

Yeah, it was asked few times already.
Faceit for CS2, and for other junk like CoD and BF that use kernel level anti cheat. 🤦‍♂️
MSI release notes are very vague indeed though.

According to MSI on their Product Security Advisories page this problem only affects Intel 600 and 700 series chipsets:
2025/12/17 Improper IOMMU Initialization Leading to Protection Mechanism Failure Vulnerability Security Patch Notice (CVE-2025-14303) for
MSI Motherboard

MSI acknowledges a recently discovered vulnerability, CVE-2025-14303, which impacts MSI motherboards with Intel 600 or 700 chipsets. Certain motherboard models are affected by a vulnerability identified as Protection Mechanism Failure. Due to improper initialization of the IOMMU, an unauthenticated physical attacker may leverage a PCIe device with DMA capabilities to read or modify arbitrary physical memory prior to the loading of the operating system kernel and its associated security mechanisms.

According to badboy2k it is about updating the UEFI certificates:
it is Not that One its a Different thing mainly around EA and Battlefield 6 and Similar Games as they need TPM 2.0B Keys and they refuse to load and say on its anticheat software that they do not have a Valid TPM for the game to start Up as they Changed there Anti Cheat to need the Very Newest TPM Keys.
