Hey,

I bought the MAG CH120x 11 months ago. I've noticed that the rear is slanted in to the left quite a lot. Everything is assembled correctly. I tried to report 3 times using the online service but got an error each time.

I've attached an image, anybody got any suggestions or had similar issues?

are the screws still holding the back of the chair? not sure if re-aligning & re-screw the holes on metal bracket and the back of the chair will help.

Hey,

Thanks for the response.

I used 'apply for service' when I got the error.

I haven't dismantled any of it to check just yet - but at a quick glance everything seems snug/tight. I'll remove the plastics and verify for sure and then consider opening a web ticket.

Much appreciated,

Wayne

Looks quite bad.

Might be worth disassembling to see the condition of those parts, maybe it was that bad from the beginning. Make sure to take photos so you have something on hand. 11 months ago is quite a bit of time, so if you don't have hard evidence that it is manufacturing fault, they may send you away with nothing.

Thanks for replying,

Ive literally just dismantled it. The block that holds it to the base appears to be slanted. I expected it to be loose but actually it’s solid- so definitely feels like a manufacturing defect.
Have a look at the images I’ve added both sides - what do you think?

Didn't want to leave the thread dead so I'll provide an update;

I contacted MSI UK who responded almost immediately. They shipped a replacement back with screws from Poland - at their own expense.

This arrived within 5 days - and my chair is now fully functioning.

I have to be honest, I didn't have great expectations having read about some poor experiences, but as far as I'm concerned MSI have provided me with world class service and I can't fault them.

The retailer may have also given me a 20% discount to keep the chair 'as is' but we'll just keep that between ourselves ;)
