Hi all,

Since my local C: Drive died a number of weeks ago, whatever settings that were originally set for the LED fan lights has been wiped. The new hard drive has been installed and the computer works fine. It's only the LEDs that are misbehaving. The control button/switch on top of the case for the fan lights works one day but not the next, along with the lights refusing to switch on at all some times. I have removed all sleep functions from Windows 11 because I noticed that when the PC fell asleep with the lights functioning properly, they would sometimes remain turned off when it was woken up.

I have researched the topic and installed the MSI Centre software but it seems the general consensus is that the Mystic Light software is no longer available thru the latest version which is what would be used to control/override the LED settings.

Has anyone got a simple solution for a simple minded fellow? (seriously, you gotta hold my hand thru this).

Thanks in advance.

How are the fans connected, is it via a hub or directly to the motherboard?
If via a hub, check all the connections are correctly plugged in, and something wasn't knocked loose while you were changing the C drive.
If your motherboard supports it, try connecting the RGB headers of the fans directly to your motherboard, I've seen a lot of MSI hubs fail over the years on this forum, and normally attaching them directly to the motherboard fixes the issue.

Thank you or your advice! Unfortunately the ASUS motherboard i have doesn't have RGB headers :( so a replacement hub will have to do. I'm in contact with MSI tech support and the reseller now.
