Installed Windows OS from USB installation media. During the installation process after the PC restarted the msi loading screen froze after the loading circle turned after 5 secs.
Was able to get to the bios screen as pictured below and I flash the motherboard with latest 1A20 version. I can change the boot order, and I can get through initial usb drive windows os installation steps but when it installs on my SSD 990 pro and boots into that it freezes on the msi motherboard loading screen (circle turns for 5 secs but then freezes).

From your screenshot, I don't see any SATA device is connected, but I would still recommend you to remove unnecessary SATA and M.2 drives, also remove unnecessary USB devices except for mouse and keyboard.
If it still freezes, I might try to install Windows on a different SSD.
Btw, did you use the Windows media creation tool from Microsoft website?
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11

Yes I used media creation tool from microsoft's website. I only have one drive m.2 ssd samsung 990 pro installed plus the usb stick plugged in. I tested one RAM stick at a time, with both running into same response. I will have to get a different SSD or try different RA perhaps.

Am having the same issue with this MOBO and same 990 Pro SSD. Ridiculously frustrating. I have managed to get further with the Windows install, whereby it’s downloaded but automatically makes me install updates, and then it hangs after all the updates are done.

Move the Samsung M.2 to a different M.2 try slot three or four it will still run at max speed

Thanks Alan. I first tried again, reformatted my SSD, and thought I'd nailed it as managed to get Windows installed, then as soon as i tried to reboot, it froze again. Dropped down to one DDR5, still no joy, but when I removed the GPU, it worked! Seems stable as have rebooted a number of times, and was able to put my other 32GB DDR5 in, and download all teh Win Updates. Will have to have a play around to see if I can get the GPU working....or another one. FYI, Memory I have is the Corsair Vengeance, (2x32GB, 6000MHz) which i think others were maybe having issues with.
