MAG321UPx "scaler not equal" error when trying to update firmware

I see a few people are experiencing this on other monitors, I am now having this problem when trying to upgrade firmware on my MAG321UPX. It is currently on FW .025. I have tried upgrading to both .031 and .033 using the MSI-provided tools, but both fail with a "Scaler Type Not Equal!" error. Given that this is happening on other monitors too according to other forum posts here, there seems to be a systematic issue with the firmware updates on many monitors. I tried on three different PCs and with two different DP-DP cables, I got the same result in all cases.

im in a similar situation unfortunately. have "MAG 321UPX QD-OLED" on FW.027 and getting the same issue.
