making DP ports work on brand new Radion 5500 XT MECH 8G OC

Regardless of which DP port I use, I get a ''no signal'' message on my monitor.

HDMI works fine but of course I didn't buy this card to use HDMI. I want to use my 3 display ports.

Another topic: when I try to register my product, I get a "code error " message after submitting all data. Both for GPU card and motherboard. (MPG X570).

Who can help?

Probably a stupid question but did you install both the newest graphics card drivers and monitor drivers? Some people forget about monitor drivers because they are not normally needed but it has solved some issues for me in the past.

and I now have the latest MSI driver. Still trying to get latest driver from AOC. But I wonder whether the problem is there.

It's worth a try, process of elimination is the best thing to do here.

Unfortunately I have never owned an AMD GPU so I may be missing something specific to their cards.

Sorry, it IS an MSI card.. (5500XT) . The AMD download was something else. I mixed up. I now have the lastest driver for my MSI GPU but none of the DP ports have output.

I meant AMD Radeon, I have only ever used Nvidia cards.

Quick question, do you get any display before you get into windows? I am seeing a few people have this same issue over the net, they have signal on HDMI but not DP. They have reported that they have signal in Bios and they even have signal with no drivers installed in windows but the issue arises after drivers are installed, is this similar to your issue?

Just seen something which seems odd but worth a shot, someone with a similar issue simply reseated their ram and the issue resolved. They had the same card but did not mention whether or not it was related to DP specifically. Worth a go.

Another solution from a different card but the same issue with DP:

Could be similar to what I get on my Asus monitor. The first time I plugged it in, DP didn't work. What I had to do fix it, was to turn on the computer and monitor, then with them still on, unplug both the DP and power cable and wait until the capacitors were drained and the power light turned off, to essentially reset the monitor. Then plug the DP and power cable back in. Had to do it a couple of times the first time. It's happened twice since then and both times that method has worked first time.
-From Reddit poster Szioul

This has also made me think, again a silly thing but you have checked the settings on your monitor itself to make sure it is on DP? If I think some monitors don't auto detect and switch input.

I get no display at all. Only 'no signal' . I now have the latest bios and drivers insttalled of motherboard, GPU and monitor. I've reset the monitor too. But is it too much to expect MSI to get back to me on this? Another thing: I have 3 DP ports on my GPU. But no indication which one is DP1 and DP3 (assuming DP2 is in the middle :-) ).

I also put out question to AOC. their support in europe is not very well established..

I'm afraid I may be out of ideas, I will try and have a think and get back to you if anything else comes to mind.

I feel your pain though with MSI, I sent them a message explaining an issue with Dragon Centre, clearly stated that I had uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Their response... reinstall it. I don't know if it's a robot or a person with a script, but what's the difference really? Both just as unhelpful. I wish you better luck!
