ME FW Abnormal, reflash

Hello,
I updated my Z270 GAMING M6 AC (MS-7A78) BIOS from 1.5 to latest 1A using the M Flash utitlity in the BIOS menu.

It looked to have worked however when it rebooted it had a message about ME FW being abnormal and to reflash. I did that but same message. My machine does boot into Windows still and the BIOS version has updated to 1A. The ME version is currently showing as version 0.0.0.0.0 in BIOS.

Let me know what you think the issue may be or if you need more info and what options I have to fix or even if fixing is high risk and living with it does not cause much issues.

Have you done clear CMOS after the BIOS flash? Also, try reflash the BIOS again, perhaps try a different version than 1.A. Go v1.9 for experiment purpose.

CMOS reset didn't fix ME. Flash down to 1.8 which had a note about a ME update, didn't fix ME but it flashed ok (Updated BIOS Version number). I reset CMOS again, and it booted ok. BIOS now shows ME version number.

Question: Do I try updating back to latest now or leave it at 1.8?

Yeah, maybe try updating in two steps. I'd try to get to the latest BIOS version and ME properly showing.
